Like you, I am always looking for a good book to read and I find recommendations from friends to be a great place to start. This book blog is a place where the students of the Middle School of the Kennebunks can post a great book that they've read that others might also enjoy. Book Title: Diamonds in the Shadow
Author: Caroline B. Cooney
I've often wondered what it would be like to have to leave your home because of a war and have to start over somewhere else. In this book, Jared is a middle school student whose church-going parents decide to take in a refugee family from Africa. Jared is not pleased about the disruption to his life at all. The refugees arrive to live with his family but before long Jared starts to notice things and feel that something is wrong, that they are not who they say they are. Jared is right. The suspense in this book is great, all the way up to the exciting ending. This is by the same author of The Face on the Milk Carton.

Book: Bad
Author: Jean Ferris
I loved this book because it was about a troubled teen that got in trouble with the law by robing a Jiffy Spot with her friends. But her "friends" didn't get caught. She ends up in a reahb facility for girls. She has fun and leans things about people she didnt think were possible. Her dad and herself dont get along so she doesnt end up living with him, but at the end she is very happy.
I read th ebook " Dreamland" and it's by Sarah Dessen. This book was very interesting and a very good book to read. It's about this girl whos sister runs away and then she forgets about her. She finds a boyfriend but after away he starts to beat her this is because his dad beats him. This book was very good but it was pretty sad.. It was a really good book though and in the end it will all turn out ok.
