A great adventure book to read!

Over school vacation I was able to read The White Darkness by Geraldine McCaughrean. In the beginning it seems like any other book about a girl who feels she doesn't fit in at school. It gets very interesting after that. She is a real fan of anything to do with Antarctica, including the real person "Titus Oates" who died while exploring Antarctica in the 1900s. In fact, she "hears" Titus speak to her pretty regularly. On what appears to be the trip of a lifetime to Antarctica, with her Uncle, things go from a vacation to a bizarre situation very quickly. Read this book....I couldn't wait to get back to it when I had to stop reading. Mrs. Savage
